About the Role

As the Resident Support Officer, you will address the individual needs and preferences of residents and support them in achieving their care plan objectives. You will support in developing personalised care plans for residents, provide personal care services and assist resident’s in engaging in their interest and hobbies to enhance their quality of life. You will collaborate with other care providers and engage in personal and professional development activities to enhance service delivery.



New year start is preferred.



Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborates with residents and other care workers to develop and implement personalised care plans that addresses their individual needs and preferences and supports them in achieving their goals.
  • Provides comprehensive personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities, household tasks, respite care, community engagement, transportation, and in-home care, including overnight support.
  • Fosters a sense of independence and community engagement among residents, supports their interests and hobbies and plans and executes innovative leisure and lifestyle activities that support and enhance the quality of life.
  • Promotes a supportive and nurturing living environment that prioritises emotional well-being, resilience, and effective behavioural management for residents.


About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

  • Diploma preferred; Lifestyle Management, Gerontology, Human Services, Social Work is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
  • Minimal experience in providing residential support in aged care is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Programs and Policies, Work Health and Safety (WHS) Practices and different cultural sensitivities.
  • Proficient in Personal Care Services, Person Centered Practice, Care Planning, Records Management and Program Management skills.
  • Excellent Communication, Customer experience and Emotional Intelligence skills.
